China and India have both seen significant economic and developmental growth in recent years. What transitions have these countries made that have led to the global and economic shifts they have undergone? Students will analyze demographic data from both countries to better understand the demographic transitions made over the past 50 years.  During data analysis students will make a series of line graphs to better analyze changes in the demographic data over time. Students will also explore some of the strategies and events that have impacted both China and India’s growth. Through analysis of China and India’s demographic transitions students will have an opportunity to discuss implications to the U.S. economy. Students will also have an opportunity to explore the demographics of their school and how they can be change agents and make a difference in their own communities.
